What is the best coating solution for my architectural Floor?

A floor might be based on concrete or steel or wood. Where or whenever we want to protect our floor we have to decide right method of paint or coat our floor with keeping in mind of its durability and protectivity. However, there are many solution for paint or coat a floor. We have to choice paint according to uses of floor.

For example, if it is the household floor it may not high protective but need safe. But an industrial floor must be protective and durable as well as safe.

Let's understand paint solution according to paint quality and durability.

1. Epoxy Floor mastic paint: Epoxy Mastic Coating is a high-solids, rust-inhibitive, surface-tolerant epoxy mastic for professional use in industrial and commercial applications. Ideal for protection of steel and concrete (floor rated). Excellent for use on ferrous and non-ferrous metals, and when properly top-coated, exhibits excellent chemical and moisture resistance. Resists solvents, dilute acids and alkali attack.

USES: Any Concrete and Masonry floor, Steel and Ferrous Metals floors,

2. PU roof coat: PU roof coat is flexible single-pack water based polyurethane 100% and high solids for waterproofing and sealing membrane. It is tough flexible membrane film which eliminates the need for a reinforcing layer which suited for high traffic area. It is highly durable waterproofing coating having excellent resistance to UV, alkaline and efflorescence, and mold and algae properties. It is breathable that allows trapped water vapors to escape from the roof without blistering.

Area of Applications

Ideal for waterproofing of facades, terraces, balconies and wet areas.

Ideal for waterproofing of concrete roofs including walk ways and planter boxes.

Ideal for waterproofing of steal gutter, metal sheet roof.

3. PU floor Coat (3K): It is 3K Polyurethane industrial flooring system with a smooth matt surface finish. • High impact resistance and withstands abrasive wear for long service life. • Good chemical resistance to organic acids, diluted mineral acids, vegetable and animal fats. Resists petroleum oil and solvents. • Easy to maintain and anti-slip surface. • Good thermal shock resistance with wide service temperature range of -5°C to 80°C. • Hygienic- Contains state of the art anti-microbial additives. Impermeable to dirt and water, along with non-tainting properties. • Low VOC – Does not taint food and ensures wellbeing of personnel. • Moisture tolerant (vapor permeable).

USES: • General Production areas and warehouses. • Beverage and food processing units. • Chemical plants. • Pharmaceutical plants. • Commercial kitchens. • Hospitals.

4. Self Leveling Epoxy: is a solvent free, three components screed system consisting of epoxy resin (A), hardener (B) and quartz silica filler (C).

It provides excellent mechanical properties, a high resistance to wear and wide variety of chemicals. This system is designed as heavy duty topping for industrial floor with 5mm thickness.

ADVANTAGES 1. Easy and fast to apply. 2. Economical. 3. Good adhesion. 4. Good resistance for abrasion, chemicals and petroleum products. 5. High compressive and tensile strength. 6. Solvent free. 7. Available with different colors.

FIELDS OF USE: This paint is used for producing high quality self leveling epoxy flooring for:

1. Chemical plants and process areas.

2. Heavy engineering plants and steel works.

 3. Ware house and dairy.

4. Workshops, oil refineries and plating factories.

5. Electricity substations and battery rooms.

6. Food processing plants.

7. Under machines and other equipment.
