Lets see my easy solution.
first of all, when the wall being dried after that simply clean the wall surface with a feather brush to remove dirt and lose particle. Than apply "Wall Sealer" interior for inside and exterior for outside.
surface will be sealed for primary protection. By follow this system you can paint your wall as your flexible time.
Wall coating System
1st coat- Salt Seal
1st coat - Wall sealer
2nd coat - Wall putty(If surface uneven)
2nd coat-Damp Stop sealer(Where wall has possibility of damp, wet, flow of water like water pipeline way. toilet, water tank sides, kitchen etc.)
3rd coat- Finish Paint(Interior/Exterior)
